Another wheel comeing off the bible bus.....?

Bible passage used to stop women become ordained 'added later', academic claims ......

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/09/22/bible-passage-used-stop-women...

"A key Biblical passage which has been used to prevent women from being ordained is not original and was added later, an academic has claimed.

The section of Corinthians which says women must remain silent in church has been used to justify restricting the priesthood to men.
But recent research has suggested that the passage was not written by the Apostle Paul, as is widely believed, but was instead added later. "

All biblical contributions

All biblical contributions were "added later". I know the bible thumpers fully promote a common belief that all its contents were period-written but we know differently.

Also, Paul was a highly outspoken misogynist and essentially the torch bearer for all spirited men-only clerical staffing of the church. If Paul said it then all in succession embraced his word. Nonsense. I'd like to experience a Pope Paula I in my life just for grins.

Also, rumor has it Paul was gay and that's why he chose the Nazarene promoted god. It didn't have a hot place waiting for him and other gays like Yahweh did so he converted and changed his name from Saul. It was only a later addition to the bible in Leviticus (20-13) that disenfranchised homosexuality and condemned gays to death. I'd give my left nut to know what Paul would say now. There's an ongoing conspiracy afoot to out the bible and I'm pissed I won't be around to see it through.

Thanks, Watchman.

There was a female pope,

There was a female pope, called Pope Joan. She pretended to be a man and wasn't found out until she gave birth during a church procession. Ever since the church has had a special ritual to ensure the popes are men.

Tihis story might be a myth, but tmaybe it's just as true as the crap that church peddles as gospel truth.

Over the centuries, the

Over the centuries, the Catholic church has had to invent ever more complex arguments, in ever decreasing circles, to explain away it's own, glaring, foot-shooting fallacies. One of these days, hopefully, it'll just disappear up it's own lectern.

Btw, does everyone know that

Btw, does everyone know that the names of the supposed authors of the New Testament - names like Matthew, Mark, Luke , John, and Paul too, I think, are fictitious? And that no-one knows who the real authors were? I strongly suspect that there were many for each book, rather than just one, and I think I can hear the feverish scribbling of their quills from where I'm sitting.
