I know a family of atheists

I know a family of atheists who live in Bahrain, but none of them post here. And I didn't meet them through their 'atheism' so I'm sure there are plenty of them out there, probably just keeping their heads down.

Yes, very recently:http://www

Welcome to the forum.

Yes, very recently "Harry" from Bahrain posted here:
http://www.atheistrepublic.com/forums/atheist-hub/any-ex-muslim-atheists...

[Edited to add]
New arrivals are "Harry" from Bahrain, "buthainah" from Saudi Arabia, "titikaka" from Bangladesh.
There are others as well, "Charvak" who I think is from India and "Semra" from Turkey.
Am I forgetting anyone?

Well i am an ex muslim now and atheist living in bahrain. I am originally from india. I actually hated coming to a muslim country because its a Kingdom. I felt very safe in india since its a secular country. But after moving to bahrain i felt alright. People are more open. I am very happy i found 1 atheist bahraini cheers mate.

Wow, this is truly amazing... so many of us freethinkers who are also from Bahrain! It greatly increases my optimism for the future of humanity!

Welcome to ARep! Feel free to

Welcome to ARep! Feel free to join our family. Goatspeed!

To answer your question, I don't personally know any atheists in Bahrain, but I'm pretty sure there are some.

Be safe, though, friend... we don't need or want martyrs, unlike the theists do... but JSYK we are here for you. You're not alone!

Thx, we are increasing but

Thx, we are increasing but the laws keep getting harsher

@Athena Yeah, I know how it

@Athena Yeah, I know how it is. That's because they're afraid of you and your freethinking. Don't worry; one day there will be so many others like you in countries like Bahrain that they will find it harder and harder to silence you- just like the demise of my country's blasphemy laws some 60-70 years ago because of the US Christian's becoming more desensitized to us... until then, stay safe and strong.

@Rohan M.

@Rohan M.
I didn't know you were in one of the 13 deadly countries for atheists. I'm actively seeking employment in the Middle East for June 2020. I'm over the age requirement for some countries. Still, I would like to make it to the middle east. I've got a possibility in Abudabi.

I’m a Bahraini atheist. There

I’m a Bahraini atheist. There’s an increasing number of us in Bahrain, unfortunately no one goes public with this so it’s hard to determine how many there are out there. As they say, safety in numbers so if there’s an overwhelming amount who come out simultaneously they can’t do shit, or even if we all partake in a anonymous census to determine our numbers that would be a good start for a movement.
