A CRY FOR HELP FROM AN EX MUSLIM

Hello Everyone. I just got to know about this website few minutes back in youtube watching a video of Vice News. I am from Bangladesh. A Muslim majority country. My parents are strict Muslims. Few days back, they got to know that I am an atheist as they saw a tattoo on my back neck and my ears pierced. They asked me and I was bound to admit. So they stopped me from going outside house, locked me in a room until and unless I change my mind and re accept Islam. But this is not me. I don't want to go back to that religion where a person can't breath freely. I really want to go out of Bangladesh as A convert from Muslim to Atheist will result to me as an everyday harassment or I might be killed as well. I am writing this forum hoping that my atheist brothers and sisters and friends can help me get out of this situation. I want to live freely in this world, I want to meet friends, party, drink and dance, study in an open environment, I want to live the way I like. I beg each an everyone reading this message to save me and help me come out of this situation or else I might be killed or end up staying locked in the room for years. Help me. Please

Hi, I'm sorry about you're

Hi, I'm sorry about you're situation.

In my opinion, you should put on an act until you can get out!
Just don't change your mind too quickly or they won't believe it and that will only make things worse. I would suggest that you start acting remorseful and inquisitive about Islam, start reading the Quran and give them some easy questions, so they will feel that you are coming back to Islam.

You need to be able to support yourself and you need a place to live before you can live the way you want. Or you will need help locally.

Edit:
That's a strange last name for living in Pakistan. It sounds more like you come from Norway / Island / Sweden / Denmark.

Rafael Nordman ain't my real

Rafael Nordman ain't my real name. Its a fake name I used to secure myself and not make things more worse and i am from Bangladesh. Thanks for your reply, but it's not as easy as it sounds. I did try to to act but its same like forcing myself to eat something which is really disgusting. I mean how long can a person pretend or act if he is not liking it? It's really hard especially for a grown up. This was the only platform I could ask help. I hope to get atleast a few people who will help me and get me out of here. Thanks.

What sort of help are you asking for?

I don't need any huge amount

I don't need any huge amount or anything. All I need is financial assistance just to apply for a visa and buy my flight ticket, to get out of Bangladesh and go somewhere where I can live freely and live my own. I will work abroad, and make my own living. I just need an initial amount which will help me move out of this country. If every member in this group can donate together, i will be saved.

This seems completely hinky

This seems completely hinky to me. I am very concerned that this is a scam. I do not believe you. I think you are a fraud.

I agree. It seems our friend

I agree. It seems our friend is trying to prey on the sympathy of others to steal money. The part about drinking and dancing is dubious as well.

The fact that the person said

The fact that the person said their parents locked them up and then said they were a "grown up" a few posts later is highly suspect as well.

There are two posts now on

There are two posts now on this forum that are asking for money. Advice and help are available to non-believers. There are ex-Muslim organizations in the US and UK who offer advice, know the culture and speak the language. They may be able to tell the genuine from the fraudsters and direct non-believers to where help is locally available.

AR offers help.....

People won't get money by asking for it on forums.

If you are serious and really

If you are serious and really need help then i reccamend you reach out to Faisal Saeed Al Mutar who has an organization called Movements.org it is a human rights group that helps ex-muslims get out of countries when there is a risk to their safety. I am willing to assist you in any way I can, I have some experience in this, I have a friend from Pakistan who was in a similiar situation. But please understand that this will take time, if you want help message me and we can get the ball rolling. In the mean time take Prag's advice and act the part of a revert, regardless of how it makes you feel, death is far worse than pretending.
