I have emailed the support here about 4 times now over the course of two weeks asking them how to delete some posts I made. They never respond, other then to tell me they got my email and how could they help. But never address my issue.
So I am editing some posts I made and I see they are going to the top, which I did not want to happen as I did not want any more attention brought to them.
Does anyone know how to delete a post here?
Thanks!

Delete a single post, or delete an entire thread?
Private message me the links to the posts/threads and tell me what you want removed and I'll do what I can. However: we typically won't delete an entire post if there are posts nested below it, but we could just remove your text from the body of the post.
I wanted to delete some of my original posts and thought the responses would be deleted as well, but I see that might not be an option. I can edit them, or even erase what I wrote. It is just that they all go to the top of the forum because when you edit them they are moved to the top as updated. No big deal I guess. Some of them are just me complaining about my christian roommate and I should have stooped at just one!
Hey there, TLB. Dude, being able to vent and rant is one of the reasons why we are here. If you want to edit/delete some of your posts, that is your business. Remember, though, things you post get responses. And there are untold numbers of people who read these threads but never reply. It is entirely possible things you post and our replies to them could somehow help others who read them. So you are having problems and need to vent. Okay, so be it. Hell, we all have problems from time to time. Again, that's part of why we are here. If it helps you get through the day and possibly even helps you solve a problem or two, then vent your ass off, my man. No need to delete anything. Love you, bro.
Thanks Tin-Man! I appreciate your encouragement and kind words. You truly do have a heart!
I don't understand? EDIT - SAVE - This post has been deleted as it was a duplicate of the one following it.
I don't understand? You can delete your own posts. WATCH
Sorry guys, this is a duplicate post/ I will delete the one above.
All I am able to do is to edit a post. There is no way to delete one.
Edit out everything and just insert "content removed by author" instead of the original content.
@thelargerbowl:
Don't worry about it. We've all posted messages that we regretted later. The reality is most what we write goes down the plughole and is completely forgotten a week or so later as new sediment piles up.
All that matters is that we learn something from each other, and give each other a chance to rant. The debate is fun, and when you're down, there's a real sense of community caring and support here. And best of all, nobody offers to pray for you!
Adding on to what Algebe said, I myself have, under a sockpuppet account by the name of MRK, recently made a post asking for suggestions for an essay that I will soon write about how to escape religion, and did so out of paranoia of possible hatred. To this day I wish that I could just delete it and then repost it as Rohan M., because when I saw the warm welcomes of other users here on ARep, it made me feel so horrible for my lie and deception.
Anyway, don’t worry; nobody on here cares about whether or not what you once ranted about years ago is awkward or not; everyone on here always rants about one of our troubles or another; like how I myself once ranted about the likes of Conservapedia and the Freedom From Atheism Foundation, both of which are things that should just be ignored.
One can always post a retraction to a post that one regrets. If a post has been responded to, it ought not to be deleted, because the response then becomes orphaned. Anyone who makes a post that they regret, and then retracts, with an explanation for doing so, has my respect. We can all make silly errors, or say things that are illogical, or false. Being able to change for the better is a good thing, and ought to be respected.
Seeing others publicly do the 'right thing', (rectifying the types of errors I've mentioned), is a good thing, IMHO. It should help in promoting the same in the rest of us, (ie. willingness to change for the better).

Thanks for all the input and god bless you all!.. Oh Shit!.. I better edit that one! Hmmm...Nah.. it is just dog spelled backwards. Arf, Arf.
@TLB
Arf.... Arf-arf-arf... Arf-arf... Arf....*grin*
Is that a dog I hear barking.... *absentmindedly reaching under the cushion on the sofa for the pig nose I hid there last night hoping I would not remember where I put it."
god bless you all
Wash your mouth out with soap!
Instead of “God/Dog Bless”, feel free to use this instead; it’s a RationalWiki meme: “Goat Bless”.
But whatever you do, do not use “Goatspeed”, because of you’ll take a look at some of my posts, you will find that Goatspeed is MY catchphrase. ;)
I found a pig nose under my bed..... Oh fk! I shouldn't have said that. Now.......... how do I edit this?
@Cog Re: Pig nose
Dammit! Put that DOWN! Don't make me go get the tranquilizer gun!
Had to go out for a happy ending massage. Do you have any idea at all how difficult it is to get a massage therapist to give you a massage while wearing a pig nose that smells like dog breath? TMI obviously.
@Cog
I hope you at least left her one helluva tip!
A reverse cowboy with a pig nose on the back of your head is not worth much of a tip.
