The series is named after a movie starring Cliff Richard and the Shadows and the theme song from the movie, sung by Cliff Richard. Now Sir Cliff Richard, he's still making records. He started out in the late 1950s as a rebellious bad boy rock singer modeled on early Elvis, but he's always maintained a clean, wholesome, Christian image. In the 1970s, he was a leading figure in the "Nationwide Festival of Light," a Christian campaign against "moral pollution." Because he's never married, his sexuality has become a focus of tabloid interest. He was accused and investigated but never charged during a recent police operation that netted other leading British entertainment figures for pedophile activities.

Rick from the "Young Ones", worships Cliff Richard, inviting violent ridicule from Viv.

Hated Fraiser but that is because of Kelsey Grammer. He is a conservative Trump wingnut!

@Mykcob4: "He is a conservative Trump wingnut!"

Maybe that's why he portrays conservative nutcases so well. He also does corrupt and demented politicians brilliantly ("Boss"). I think he'd have been better than Kevan Spacey in House of Cards.

back to the OP -- AR used my Facebook personal photo, but that's fine with me. it was taken while i was visiting my mom in her assisted-living facility (she had fairly rapidly-progressing dementia). she was in her bed, just to my left, out of the picture but still in my heart. when i look at that picture of me, i think of Lyla Lee. but she was really beautiful; i'm just pleasant-looking. yup, Lyla was movie-star gorgeous (not kidding), and the happiest, most cheerful person i've ever known (thankfully, i inherited that trait from her).

Thank you Hollis ☺️
I understand why a lot of people don't want to put their photos on this type of website, but it is nice to be able to put a face with people's posts ☺️

This is my real name. David Killens. But I live by the belief that the only personal info I give out is what can be found in the phone book. The avatar I chose is from a British TV comedy series, Fawlty Towers, starring John Cleese as a very weird character. I love being funny, but also skeptical.

i use Rodin's "Celle qui fut la belle Heaulmiere" on some sites, inspired by the description in Heinlein's "Stranger in a Strange Land." http://www.musee-rodin.fr/fr/collections/sculptures/celle-qui-fut-la-bel... now that i'm becoming an "old lady," it suits me ;-)

This IS my real photo! I really am a kuhli loach!

Seriously, Fishy, it's just become habitual. I'm Sushisnake all over the net. It's easy to keep track of. I rarely use my gender either because I got sick and tired of being called "dear", and "sister" and being told to "leave the conversation to the men". I'm pretty sure I can relax it a little here at AR, so here goes:

My name is Kathy Heyne. I am 52. This is me a couple of years ago at work showing a colleague how to pretend you have a mermaid tail.

I got some rather narrow

I got some rather narrow-minded family members that I can't attach my face to my opinions on Religion as of yet. Least not until I'm able to be 100% autonomous.
