Hello,
I have a couple of questions for you all.
First, I have a colleague that is a nurse, and she, unfortunately, has to watch people die sometimes. She has told me that some of them say strange things, like they are being "poked" or "burned." My question to you is how do you explain someone doing this upon death? I have read some people claim the brain is shutting off, and we start to see strange things. Do we just have a bad dream as we die?
Second, I mostly grew up in a Christian environment (I am sure that is common) and I have a Bible question. It mostly concerns Biblical predictions. In Genesis 16 (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis+16&version=ESV), Abraham's son, Ishmael, is born and an angel tells Sarah that "He shall be a wild donkey of a man, his hand against everyone, and everyone's hand against him, and he shall dwell over against all his kinsmen," which some interpret as the Islamic community causing many problems to the world. What do you say concerning this and what do you say about any other predictions (if you deem it valid to mention them).
I do not mean to start a major debate. I would only like an answer.
Thank you.

IMO
Q1: no one really knows for sure
Q2: any items that appear to be predictions are just coincidence
Could you elaborate on Q2?
See Nyarlthotep's remark about #2. He says it far better than I did.
Q1: You shouldn't be surprised that people not of sound mind and body, are well: not of sound mind and body.
Q2: Keep your predictions vague enough, and they will fit any circumstance.
I as well have watched several people die. Most have been comatose, so obviously they said nothing. The few that have been conscious were quite delirious and anything they may have said was nonsensical. As the body shuts down, non-essential areas receive less and less blood-flow in deference to more essential organs. In regard to the brain, the mid-brain and brain-stem will receive blood-flow and the cortex (where cognitive function comes from) will receive less, contributing to the delirium that is often seen in the dying process.
In regard to predictions, I will defer to the great sage, Yogi Berra who stated "It's tough to make predictions, especially about the future".
