Trump began a set of empty threats toward North Korea. There are several reasons.
1) He is frustrated about the Russian probe by the special investigator.
2) He wants desperately to be seen as a tough guy (he isn't) and he blusters.
3) He has no answer for North Korea.
Remember that Congress initiated the new UN sanctions against North Korea, not Trump. That is unusual but Trump is so incompetent that someone had to do something.
So I have been closely watching the news (various sources) and have heard from almost every one of them that there are diplomats working back channels to negotiate with North Korea. To a man, they have denied that Trump is even involved.
Every year North Korea threatens war. This happens almost exactly when the USA and South Korean militaries conduct joint exercises. It also happens when the North Korean economy is at its lowest. It will be interesting to see what will actually happen. Will Trump push Kim to fire missiles around Guam and cause a new unnecessary war? Or will the adults in the room prevail?

1) Obama did not deplete the military. He never pardoned any terrorist. Those are flat out lies!
2) I live in the REAL world and not the Breitbart world. I AM an American that has proudly served this nation which is far more than you have ever done or ever will do so don't attack my loyalty to this nation. I put my life on the line.
3) Trump is pushing to get into a war. A REAL president would not push to get into a war. Trump is so stupid that he is talking about not only getting into a shooting war with North Korea but also with Venezuela.

Chances are the commies are playing the US for a sucker. China and Russia probably aided and abetted North Korea with nukes and ICBMs. Since they know Trump reacts like an idiot they are trying to sucker us into attacking North Korea. If that happens we could suffer a major defeat unless we completely nuke North Korea and China. Are you ready to kill 1 billion+ people within 1 hour? We don't have the troops or ability to fight a ground war against North Korea. We would lose. And the worst thing that can happen is to lose against North Korea.

He used to spout off about a possible attack by North Korea. That was then. NOW he is threatening military action for "threats". This is significant and dangerous.
Trump made this statement not because he wants to protect America. He said this because his ego is bruised.
When a US president changes priorities from attacks to threats as justification to bring military action he is acting like a tyrant. If his ego is bruised and that becomes the justification for war he is no longer acting on the behalf of this nation.
Also, Trump doesn't even know what is going on in Venezuela yet he threatened military action.

There is nothing especially "liberal" about the opposition to Trump and it is not propaganda. I agree that N Korea should be stopped from developing both their ICBM and nuclear programs and President Obama had made it perfectly clear that would need to be high priority in this presidential term. That is why it was so important nobody like Trump, Pence or Steve Bannon had much influence on the administration.
Kim is now in a situation where he must either go ahead with the promised missiles directed at Guam in "mid-August" or back down. Domestic, internal politics may ensure it is not possible for Kim not to fire those missiles. The question then will be: what will Trump do? It seems he must either back down or attack N Korea.
President Obama maintained a military strength unparalleled by any other nation on Earth and enhanced it with support of allies that Trump has wrecked.

This is very interesting. Kim may now think it essential to induce some kind of attack by the USA. And it is important to keep in mind that Kim's politics apparently make it is essential to keep this at the top of international headlines and agendas. A supposed external threat is the basis for his regime.
Not only has Trump handled this situation dangerously, he has played right into the hands of Maduro by giving his supporters what will seem to them like evidence that the Venezuelan opposition is the stooge of the USA.
Most people may now agree (liberals and conservatives) that the N Korean rhetoric, nuclear and ICBM progams must be stopped. Indulging in the same crazy rhetoric as the N Korean dictator isn't the way to do it. It doesn't help to let China portray the USA as the aggressor; nor does it help that allies (such as European & Commonwealth countries, Japan and S Korea) feel they must distance themselves from the "we need to figure out what the hell is going on" Trump. Trump has also dismantled much of the USA's soft power programs. As usual, he cannot "figure out" their worth.

You made some good points but why would anyone trust the Chinese on this issue? When North Korea attacks the US you can bet that China (and Russia) will be lobbing nukes at us. Of course such a plan would be more effective with mass terrorist attacks throughout the US in order to confuse the issue.
The preferred course of action would be if everyone just chills and go about normal everyday business without trying to screw over each other but that won't happen. There are simply too many crazy people in the world for everyone to co-exist in peace and harmony.

Obama didn't pardon any terrorist. Obama pardoned Oscar Lopez Rivera. He was convicted of masterminding terrorist attacks in NYC, BUT that conviction was overturned and he was convicted of SUPPORTING groups that carried out terrorist attacks in NYC. BIG difference. Rivera is an outspoken supporter of Peurto Rico independence. He raises money for different groups for that cause. He isn't directly linked to any terrorist organization, although his foundation has given money to people that have committed terrorist crimes. Rivera did nothing but raise money that went to a general fund. Some of that money went to what appeared to be protesters, but those people actually committed a crime. Rivera was in no way responsible for that crime. It appears the money changed hand several times before it reached the guilty parties. It is the same thing as a well-known conservative that contributed money that eventually went to the Michigan Militia that financed Timothy McVeigh. Should we arrest the all the religious right organization leaders simply because some of the money ended up in the hands of McVeigh?

Try reading up on some history of Puerto Rico before spouting off nonsense.
I been there, I took an interest. While they are many factors that leads to Peurto Rico's economic situation today.
Some major ones:
Large corporations realized Puerto Rico a few decades ago was in a weird quasi US state like situation, where there was free unrestricted trade because it is a US territory, but did not have the same state and federal taxes, or labor/environmental laws that the 50 US states have. With a large population of workers willing to work cheap, not having to face the regulation of working in the 50 states, a bunch of large companies moved production facilities and other tax shelter like corporations to Puerto Rico, that ended up seeing an industry and investment boom. The government flush with new cash campaigned on huge fiscal promises like excellent schooling, hospitals, safety nets, large police force etc.
Then the US began to close some of the tax and regulation loopholes Puerto Rico enjoyed. The people living there also began to demand more fair pay and working conditions. Many of the large industries there, were only there to make more easy money for their shareholders, naturally closed down and left when the easy money was over, (mostly to overseas.) Minus all the tax dollars and employment these companies brought, Puerto Rico faced a budget crisis, which they they tried to borrow their way out of, and trying to create a banking industry with their lax local laws and rules which added to the debt crisis. That mostly failed. Puerto Rico hit a debt crisis, and we are where we are today, where the US must decide to continue to bail Puerto Rico out, or have it fall into 3rd world status if it were to allow Puerto Rico default on its debt.
So you hang with and defend white supremacists, racists and low information voters. Now we know who you really are, even if you don't.
