I think this excerpt from the movie nailed it. Do harm to another and request submission, by citing scripture. But, more importantly, rejoice in your greatness!
I'd love to see what you guys think about this, and if you have any other short references to share.

Basically, this is my personal feeling toward religions. I bow to no man. (And particularly no imaginary entities.)

Christianity is a nut shell. It protects all the little nuts from being eaten alive by the mean angry atheists.
I disagree with Tin-Man for once - I don't mind bowing to Japanese. Other that this specific culture, I feel you're completely justified.
@Muashkis Re: Bowing
Oh, my bad, dude. Guess I should have been more clear on that. I have no problem showing respect in the manner relative to specific cultures. To me, the type of bowing done as a greeting in Japan is no different than a handshake here in the U.S., or saluting a superior officer in the military. Having studied/practiced various martial arts during my life, it is common practice to bow to your opponent before and after a spar as a show of mutual respect. I am absolutely fine with that. No objections whatsoever. Matter of fact, I would likely even frown upon those who did not follow that practice, depending on the circumstances. Those examples are totally different, however, than the bowing to which I object and steadfastly refuse to do.
The type of bowing to which I specifically object is that which you see in the vid clip. It is the type where the people are completely submitting to the will of a self-appointed tyrant and giving up control over their own lives. Basically, there is zero respect involved. Those bowing do not respect the "ruler". They bow out of fear. And the "ruler" sure as shit has zero respect for those who are bowing. Obviously, this is completely different from bowing to an opponent or to another individual as a greeting.
Thanks for bringing that up, by the way. Gave me a chance to clarify the difference to others who also might have been wondering. Cool.
Haha, a perfectly done response, apparently provocations can also bring out the best from certain people. Hope in Hoomanity restored!
Seems like all your gears are in perfect alignment and well greased. You should share your secrets on maintaining them ;)
@Muashkis
*thumbs up*....*respectful bow*...
@Tin-Man
*respectfully bows a bit deeper*
*smirks playfully*
@Muashkis
Show-off. lol
As the meme goes.
Jesus: "let me in"
Person: "why?"
Jesus: "I need to save you"
Person: "from what?"
Jesus: "From what I'll do if you don't"
@blinknight - now that's a meme worth remembering, thanks for sharing it.
