Finally, some good news.

"A series of recent studies, looking at different countries around the world, from South America to Scandinavia and from Vancouver to Seoul, all show the same thing – that religion is in decline and secularism is on the rise. The same has been reiterated by yet another report, which recently concluded that the world’s newest religion is No Religion."

All superstitions end

All superstitions end eventually. Christianity has only lasted 2,000 years (if you count the three centuries prior to Nicaea and the origin of the Bible).

I think Hinduism originated over 3,000 years ago. The Pew figures argue that the proportion of non-believers to religionists looks set to decline based on historical trends but takes no account of rate of decline in the strength of these "beliefs", which isn't measurable. We are told the number of Muslims is growing, but how would one measure how many people leave Islam or how many doubts the remainder have?

I think it is telling that few religionists like to see themselves as superstitious.

Well depending on which

Well depending on which source you use, as many as 40% of Americans think god created humans in their present form, less than 10,000 years ago; and there is some evidence this number is actually growing. It is almost as if the percentage of religious people is shrinking, but those who continue to believe are starting to double down on the crazy.

Tyler - you will be surprised

Tyler - you will be surprised at the amount of atheists in India. Its just the we hide behind a mask of religiosity. But I do agree we take religious sentiment to a whole new level here.
