Sabarimala temple in Kerala has traditionally barred all women of menstruating age (10-50) from entering. India's supreme court recently ruled that this was unlawful discrimination because women have an equal right to practice relgion. The temple was forced to drop the ban, but violent mobs are stopping women from approaching.
I'm really not surprised at the backwardness, insecurity, and murderous violence of religidiots. What amazes me is that women want anything to do with a lunatic cult that despises them for their nature.

They have been taught from birth that this is their lot in life. It’s no different than when any child is told they are worthless. They believe it. When you are three feet tall, you tend to believe that which someone who is six feet tall tells you.

Empowerment of women is the key to development and progress. Religions oppress women, thereby keeping entire populations in poverty. Hinduism is a crime against humanity for its misogyny, and for its appalling caste system.
Saddened me to read about women blocking women from entering a temple. Brainwashing at work and maybe some money too.
Anything that can bleed for five to seven days out of every month and not die, is obviously evil and should be killed. Quaran 2:222. Women are filthy during this time of the month and should be avoided. It makes perfect sense that a bunch of ignorant zealots would want to keep filthy women out of their area of worship.
Says something that men (and women) are so threatened by menstruation and women rights they will go to violence to keep the status quo.

I thought something just mere seconds ago. What if religion was partly established to, in some parts of the world, to encourage monogamy and misoginy, so that insecure men would hav a shot at reproduction?
