Morality of Completely Christian Project after Deconverting

I've been working on a Christian startup business for over a year now with a friend. They do not know I have deconverted. Anyways, what are your thoughts as to how I should handle this situation? I'm not prepared to give many details on the business online as it's already got some active social media accounts. Don't want anything linking to this thread. So any advice on some general principles?

Part of me feels like I should push to turn the project into something else, but that would risk destroying it entirely and it would definitely make it less lucrative.

Another part of me wants to just keep my atheism on the DL and just push the startup through and then sell my portion after it's autonomous.

Any thoughts?

Both approaches have pros and

Both approaches have pros and cons.

What is your projected timeline until completion? If it's a long time, pretending will wear you down.

If you don't mind, can you send me a private message with more detail? Only then can I provide useful advice. I promise not to share anything you don't want me to.

If it doesn't require a radical shift, I would convert it to a secular project.

If, however, it does require a radical shift, I would try to determine if I could pretend to be something I am not for that long. If I think I can handle it, pretending may be the way to go, although not ideal.

If you think you will not be able to handle it, I cannot offer advice. It's a tricky situation. Only someone (You) that knows all factors involved on your end would be able to help you.

Good money in Christian

Good money in Christian businesses. How do you feel about stealing money from people while making false promises? Coca Cola, Alcohol, Nike, MacDonald's, Apple, Google, Microsoft, Ford, Toyota, or any other company you can think of in the world today has no problem at all lying to the public and making false claims. You don't have to be a Christian to be a sociopathic ass. Just watch TV. If I was making money and providing for my family, I don't know that I would give a shit. "Let the Buyer Beware."

With that said, "Business is Business and the business goes where the market is." As for myself, I would still need an outlet for my personal beliefs. I might use the information I gain by opening the Christian business to open something similar in another area and then get out of the Christian business if I become solvent in the other area.

Look - you have to survive. You were Christian when you started off and now you are not. It's a bit like taking a job for a company and after a year realizing that you are not a good fit for that company. You don't walk into the boss and cut your own throat by quitting. You start looking around for something else and you do not quit until you find it.

I agree with xenoview. How long can you pretend and fake it before you just cannot take it anymore?

Good news, I got my business

Good news, I got my business partner to agree to make the product more secular...but we are still going for mostly a Christian product. It was an odd solution which I can’t really explain without telling you all what the business even is haha!

But I do appreciate your replies. I don’t have anyone to go for advice for about these things...it’s just nice to hear other voices. I’m 100% in the nonbeliever closet atm.
