Most of the topics on the forums are political, and you have assholes like myckob4 trying to make everything political, claiming that everyone who doesn't agree with him are "evil" for doing so.
This is an atheist website- its supposed to be a community for atheists in general, but at this point you'd probably find more inclusiveness at stormfront. So if this is just going to be a leftist convention, I'll just have to go there-

Hey politics is an important a decisive series of issues that should be debated, and there are few forums in my view we're people can have as healthy a debate as here in AR, so I support the opening of political threads.

Politics is intrinsically linked to religion, especially in the states as far as I can see, and religion seems to be doing it's utmost to infringe on the constitutional rights off others. So it makes no sense to insist atheism be discussed with a moratorium on politics. The rest of your post is just a deeply unpleasant piece of ad hominem. Religion has made it self VERY political. If religion would butt out of politics there would not be as near as much discussion here on it. I find all the time on opposing viewpoints on political politics it ends up boiling down to peoples religious views.
Take the abortion debate. Most of those against nearly all forms of abortion will say it is a "human person" at the moment of fertilization. Why do they think it is a human person? Usually because that is when they think their god has decided to place a soul in the tiny pinhead size cell and it is not simply a cell with 2 sets of dna information. (Fertilization is just one of many important milestones on an endless cycle of life.)
I do however agree the state of US current politics, (and that of many around the world,) is pretty retarded. I also believe the various religions play a big role in why politics are so retarded.

It is actually 76.4 in 2014 for males in the US, and that is for people born in 2014. Of course that is just a measure of general life expectancy.
If Myckob smoked most of his life subtract a decade or so from that. If Myckob is obese subtract 5 years or so. On the plus side, since Myckob is already 62, his life expectancy actually increases, I have not looked up the numbers, but a male that is 62 of average health, they can expect to actually live into their 80's. Simply because they have not already died, Myckob already survived 62 years of possibilities of dying.
If Myckob is wealthy add 10 years or so. If Myckob is health conscious, fit, and avoided activity that increases cancer rates add another decade. If Myckob is generally happy, has a positive outlook on life and has a low stress lifestyle, another decade or so.
Truth of the matter is you know nothing about Mykcob other than what you have read here. Stating that he will be dead most of your life expectancy is idiotic. You have almost no data to back your claim.

I run, lift weights, bike, practice Hapkido, every day. I play very competitive basketball at least 2 times a week. I don't drink alcohol. I smoke cigars. I make a good living and really don't stress about shit. I have no major physical problems and my family doesn't have a history of anything as far as I know. My family is long-lived. Only my stepdad died young (76). All my natural grandparents lived past 90 some well past. I don't even worry about death.

I'll be 66 in a couple of weeks. My father died young from an excess of high-cholesterol food and second-hand smoke, and my grandfather died in his 30s as a result of a disagreement with a steam train. But the women in my family have all lived long, so maybe I'll get lucky.
