I don't agree with those who think that the conflict is simply between two religions, namely Christianity and Islam. . . To me, the key conflict is between irrational blind faith and rational, logical minds.

I think the logical minds, are leading the minds with irrational blind faith around and killing them off with their own ideologies. The logical minds are profiting immensely off this irrational hatred which is easy to fuel between those who have this irrational blind faith. It a win win for the the rational logical minds because if these people ever wise up and stop being so easily led around by their irrational blind faith in the process they turn into those who have more rational and logical minds and choose to get the hell out and stay out of it. They know as well as anybody else does there is no reasoning with these people who are willing to kill for what they believe in.
Chances are to get out they will try to profit of the circumstance they find themselves in and in the end they will become what once was the, as Taslima puts it the key conflicting side. the best way for these people who fight over Christian and and Islamic faith to win would be to stop fighting but they are to blinded by their faiths to see this. they cannot sit idle while their faith is under attack and to many of them even simply questioning or being skeptical of their faith is a form of attack.
Besides those with logical and rational minds that seek profit could easily find a replacement group with conflicting ideologies to wrap up in the conflict and keep the profits flowing.
War is an animal that feeds itself!
