A Pew Research poll published on October 27 revealed that nearly half of Americans believe the US should be a “Christian nation.” However, 45% of Americans do not agree on a definition of what that label means.

With 69% of the respondents agreeing that the federal government should never declare any state religion. At the same time, 67% agree that the US Constitution was written by humans and reflects their vision, not necessarily God’s vision.
