Greetings and salutations. I don't know if there is a specific place for introductions and whatnot, but it looked as though this may be the place... If not, I apologize.
Anyways, I've followed the facebook page for a while and figured I may as well join the forums. I've only ever participated on one other similar site before, so I'm still getting used to it, though I see there's a debate section which I find rather appealing. If anyone asks, I tell them I'm a nihilist, but people tend to group that with atheism, to an extent. Which doesn't bother me because I also consider myself an atheist. I was born and raised to be a good little Christian girl, then realized how far fetched the whole thing really was. Its a bit more complex than that, but I doubt anyone really wants to hear my life story, so I'll spare you.
I'm just looking to find some like minded people, which is a difficult task for me.

I had to look up Nihilism. There seems to be a few variants... any special kind?
It's not that nihilists are grouped with atheists, they just generally are atheists. Atheists as a group share only one common factor, the absence of belief in gods. Nihilists (real ones) see no purpose to existence, period. Nihilism was a precursor to my current world view, the only thing I could bring myself to believe at the time was that everything should be destroyed and myself with it.
I'm feeling a little better about life, now.
