The Bible is thought of as gold by all religious fanatics but it is quite funny when you think about all of the things that make it look like it surely is not correct. I am constantly arguing with people that think they are smarter than everyone else because they have a PhD or a masters degree or some degree that they think makes them smarter than others. But I always make sure that I knock them down by letting them know that they are only considering themselves smart because they have memorized what smart people have learned before them. When will religious fanatics always speak of the precious Bible I really wish they would question as to the authenticity of it and who actually wrote it. They are complete fools in believing that a band of apostles wrote it with God telling them what to write. I often ask them if they saw me come out of the desert or a cave, and I hadn’t shaved for a few months and my hair was Not cut for a few months, and I had a huge piece of crap book called the Bible that was told to me by God so I wrote it down, would they believe me, they say no and I say I rest my case. They believe in a huge story that is without evidence completely and faith without evidence is a lie. The Bible was not written by God but by the English.

It was not written by any god or the English.
The bible was collated from the many stories and texts that abounded in the Second and Third Centuries. Far more were discarded than made it into the final formats and versions we know today.
They were written in a variety of languages, styles and forms.
The earliest complete "bible" we have is Codex Sinaiticus from the 4th century but we know there were many codex in circulation before then. We just don't know their content.
The English had the great translator, Tyndale, execrated by the bishops and traditionalists and eventually hanged for heresy. His work was the foundation for the "Great Bible" that had to be chained and read from in every English Church. It spurred the bishops to produce the next edition called the "Bishops Bible" both in the 16th Century some hundreds of years after Sinaiticus, the Vaticanus and then the Vulgate.
Bible history is quite fascinating starting from 492 CE when the Bishop of Rome declared hundreds of books and texts to be anathema. So much was destroyed.
The theist ignorance of their own history is a sad indictment on their faith.
The new testament was written in Greek, probably by Greeks or Romans or Christian Jews. The old testament was written by Jews. It was NOT written by the english.
The bible was later translated into english sometime in the 15th or 16th century, with many translation errors, with some of the errors being deliberate.
I agree that it was not written by any god, & most of it is fables & stories. Practically none of the old testament has been proven by archaeology. There is also no compelling evidence that Jesus was actually a real person, let alone that any of the other information in the new testament is true or can be relied upon.
