Although I personally don't have anything against circumcision if done properly (as in, NOT sucking a child's privates in the process), this is just sick. The dude in the video has some serious issues if he thinks this is okay.
On another note, I did a brief search concerning the so-called "antiseptic qualities" of human saliva. Even though it contains some enzymes that can promote healing, it also contains a shit ton of bacteria that can cause infections, especially in deeper wounds. Oh, and did I mention the fact that we are living in the TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY and have access to such luxuries as STERILIZED SURGICAL EQUIPMENT? And SOAP!? I rest my case.

This may stir the pot. I will preface this with the statement that I think any form of pedophelia is wrong. Absolutely wrong and reprehensible. I hold this opinion about any form of abuse, rape, torture, etc.
No sexual activity with any non-consenting adult ior child (who is unable to consent) s right...under any circumstances.
Now the questions are, what is consent and what is adult? Can parents consent on behalf of their children?
There are as many answers to those questions as there are people.
In Islam, they think it's ok for a 12 year old girl to be bedded by her husband. I think that's appalling, they don't. The Jewish parents of that child permitted this action because they thought it was right. I don't.
There have been no solid studies done that indicate there is any more child abuse in major groups (Catholics, Jews, Protestants, the Boy Scouts, schools, etc.) than in any other segment of society. There may indeed be differences, but those differences may more likely be based on the entire society rather than a specific group in that society.
Our perception of those percentages is, unfortunately, effected by the media, without the benefit of a study to verify.
So, is child abuse any more rampant in one group than in another? With the exception of those societies that condone childhood marriage and rape as punishment, I don't think there is. Every 'group' has assholes in it.
It is further complicated by the additional assholes who cover it up, make excuses for it, or call it a private matter rather than a crime that should be prosecuted.
The endgame for most of those that are part of mass delusions and are involved in unnecessary if not outright dangerous and inhuman practices is to spread their belief and reach a level of global acceptance. This is likely never going to happen but haven't some of the worse parts of religion been secularised and become mainstream before? Most of our society's misogyny can be traced back to religion. The original problem addressed by the thread is hopefully not going to be one of those practices but is it impossible? I still have not fully taken in the fact that we have slavery in the 21st century (is shell-shocked the right term?).
Religious or not, rampant or not, anything irrational that is unnecessary, harmful and counter to our humanism needs to be dealt with with the greatest degree of zeal. A single baby violated or a girl child suffocated or a gay son beaten to death is clear sign that we have work to do.
