WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?

It occurs to me that we need an ongoing list of similarities between Christianity and Islam so that we don;t make the mistake of confusing the two,. I will begin the list.

1. M. The Angel Gabriel started Islam by revealing it to his prophet Muhammad.
C. The Angel Jesus began Christianity by revealing it to his prophet Paul.
(Yes, I said angel. Check your Jewish folklore Christians.)

2. M. Muslims engage in horrific acts of violence in the name of their God. (Stoning women, throwing homosexuals from the tops of buildings, and holy war.)
C. Christians on the other hand engage in horrific acts of violence in the name of their god. Burning witches to death, driving spikes into the heads of small children, beating children to death... etc....

3. M: In Islam Allah loves you unconditionally as long as you follow all his conditions.
C: In Christianity God loves you unconditionally as long as you follow all his conditions.

4. M: Muslims ignorantly believe Moses and the other patriarchs for which there is no evidence at all, actually existed.
C: Christians ignorantly believe Moses and the other patriarchs for which there is no evidence at all, actually existed.

5. M: Muslims have cool looking religious hats called "taqiyah."
C; Christians have cool looking religious hats too (Too many and varied to list) https://www.google.com/searchrlz=1C1NHXL_enKR703KR703&q=christian+religi...

Great topic. In fact, if you

Great topic. In fact, if you are to compare Islam with any of the Abrahamic religions, you are going to end up with nothing but similarities.

And, should you accidentally happen to compare ancient myths with some of the known miracles in the Quran, you are going to end up with an exact replication of the beliefs of the old times.

It was rightfully said by Abu l-Hakam (Father of Wisdom), half-uncle of Muhammad, nicknamed Abu Lahb (Father of Ignorance) by him, that whatever this "Prophet" brought forward was nothing but stories of the old, fairytales and mythologies.

And since we know Quran is copied from the Bible and the Bible is copied from the Jewish scriptures, it's all a continuation of the same lies.

M: Muslims drink camel piss
C: Christians cook with shit. They used to drink piss but the practice is no longer undertaken... at least that I know of. (2 Kings 18:27) (Proverbs 5:15-17) But to keep up with the Muslims, a Christian can bake bread using its own dung. (Ezekiel 4:12)

Bloody hell. I wish I hadn't read that. I'll never get those awful pictures out of my head.

To be fair, most people have drunk some form of horrible piss... ever had a Budweiser, Carling or Fosters?

My bro told me of a joke he told in a New York bar whilst on holiday ,about Budweiser and other US beers. At at the time bro was 6'2" and worked weekends as a bouncer in rather unsavoury pub. Today he's still 6'2", except a lot larger in circumference.

Describing Budweiser as "like making love in a canoe ;fucking close to water"

Actually, I liked Coors and Corona. In Canada Moosehead. In the UK everything I tried, lagers or ales. Especially liked Guinness . I won't even start on Europe or Asia.

Each and every one of the

Each and every one of the Abrahamic faiths do not consider themselves to be "operating" correctly unless they can claim to be persecuted ….. its in the game plan...

Abraham as a child forced to flee from the evil king (Nimrod) … who massacres innocent children.

Moses forced to flee from his people/family due to the evil pharaoh …. who massacres innocent children.

Jesus forced to flee to Egypt to hide from the evil king (Herod) …..who massacres innocent children.

Mohammed forced to flee from Mecca by the evil polytheists (not a king but an authority)…… who massacres innocent ,newly converted, "muslim" slaves.

same old -same old....

M: The Muzzies believe that

M: The Muzzies believe that if you do not believe as they believe you will burn to death and be tortured forever and ever in the Muzzie Hell.

C: The Christians believe that if you do not believe as they believe you will burn to death and be tortured forever and ever in the Christian Hell.

M and C: Both M and C condemn the Jews to Hell.

This is a win win for the atheists. Christians will all go to the Muzzie hell where they will all burn to death and be tortured forever along with any Jews the Muzzies were able to get their hands on. Muslims will all go to the Christian Hell where they will burn forever and ever along with any Jews they were able to get their hands on. And while they are all burning and being tortured in each other's Hells, THE ATHEISTS WILL BE LEFT THE FUCK ALONE. *A huge sigh of relief. "FINALLY!"

As it turns out, there is no eternal hell in Judaism. That's a purely christian invention. The Jewish hell is more like the Christian purgatory .The longest a person stays is two years.

The idea of an eternal hell says quite disgusting things about the Christians who cobbled it together from a bunch of sources . (over centuries)

According to Bishop John Spong "The church has always been in the guilt and control business"'

---until quite modern times. the Catholic church wielded a terrifying amount of power. We need think only of the struggle Henry V111 had with the Church to get a divorce** .Later, the pope of the day ordered the assassination of Queen Elizabeth 1 because she was a protestant.

Divorce has always been permitted in both Judaism and Islam.

With an usually stunning piece of hypocrisy, the Catholic church has always claimed it does not allow divorce. THAT is a bare faced lie. Except the church calls it 'annulment' (ie, the marriage was never valid in the eyes of god). I can think of two egregious examples;

Princess Caroline of Monaco was granted an annulment from her playboy first hubby.

The second was my ex wife being granted an an annulment of our marriage. Important for a practising Catholic because a divorced person may not receive the sacraments such as eucharist .But most important, a divorced person who was married in the church may not be remarried in the church .If a Catholic is not married in a Catholic church, the marriage is not recognised in the church ,so divorce of such a marriage is irrelevant.

As I said , guilt and control

Oh, I've got some more

Oh, I've got some more similarities. Both Christian and Islamic doctrine are basically a confusing, often self-contradictory mixture of:

- (Some rare) common sense

- Outright nonsense

- Poorly-recorded "historical" accounts of myths, most of which bare striking resemblance to those of older religions

- Divisive, often hateful rhetoric

- Assorted ad-hominems directed at the nonbelievers

- Repeated, almost desperate insistence that it is 100% true

- Constant discouragement of questions and critical analysis

- Pointless restrictions on sexual activity that make it boring and less enjoyable

- Arbitrary dietary requirements

- Morbid obsessions with death and eternal torture as a means to blackmail people into blind faith

Christianity actually begins

Christianity actually begins with Paul, who talked to the angel Jesus on the road to Damascus. Muhammad spoke with the Angel Gabriel in a cave near Petra. (Mecca was never the Holy city. That is an outright Islamic lie.)
