I was at the concert in our Peter The Great park. The Saint-Petersburg symphonic state orchestra "Classic" played Sviridov, Shostakovich, Khachaturyan and Tchaikovsky. Very excited.
You could hear Tchaikovsky July 4.

When I was active in the choir community here in Iceland I only once heard an exquisite piece by him; "Nightly Clouds". It's a real goosebump maker: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5_SOfi5MuE
I take it that Tchaikovsky was one of his influences? I wonder what he would have thought of this one :)
