I'm New atheist and i've been searching for reasons to make sure that i've taken a right decision.

1. Lang is not a scientist.
2. Even if he was, so what? There are scientists out there that believe all kinds of non-sense. Why should anyone care if some fruitcake changes their religious views?

It appears that the good doctor has exchanged his Catholic chains for the chains of Islam....... well his choice I suppose.
He's a mathematician, not a scientist.

As said Doctor Lang published his account of his conversion (Struggling to Surrender) in 1994 ...some 22 years ago .... can it really be seen as "recently" .

Yeah, it is an old story that I heard of long ago.

Atheism is not a choice, but a discovery.
When you understand better the world around you and yourself, you discover that believing in theism is equal to believing in Father Christmas and thus you discover that you do not truly believe in such lies.
Once you become an atheist for the right reasons there is no turning back.
There are those that think they are atheists, but in reality they are unsure about themselves, those are usually unknowingly looking for a replacement of their old faith.

The "reason' would be cause there's no magic god, and the bible is just really wrong.
