Hello, I'm new to the site and thought it would be good to formally introduce myself. I'm 30 years old, born and raised in Michigan, and in addition to being an atheist, I'm also a rationalist (I'm sure we've all met those atheists who still hold superstitious beliefs while not believing in gods). I enjoy traveling whenever I can (Preferably outside the country), reading books (Mostly books on evolution, history, and literature), and writing. This year, I've done quite a bit of writing and before the year is over, I plan to have my atheist memoir/guidebook finished. So, I'm especially interested in meeting other atheist writers who would like to critique and encourage me. But I'm also interested in meeting any atheists in general. I look forward to meeting you all!

Welcome to the community of rational thinking, critical thinking, and intellectual debate.
It's quite a relief to find that a place like this exists, isn't it? Seriously, welcome!
Places like this are a pleasant escape. There's some good groups on Facebook but I wanted to try something different.
Indeed!
Nice to meet you, please enjoy your stay.
Hi Palaephatus. Welcome to the site. I am also new to the site. But not new to the atheism. 20 years so far.
I have 17 years under my belt so far. Nice name by the way; I see you're into Athenian history.
Hello! I'm newbie here too.
Welcome to the thinking, debating, free community of skeptics, philosophers and so forth!
Welcome :)
Welcome! I see you are from Michigan. If you can swim across lake Michigan and find your way to Madison Wisconsin, the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) is holding their national convention on October 9th-11th. That would be a great place to discover like minded people in your own backyard.
