Hello guys I would like to ask how I can act as an atheist in a Muslim country and it is my mother country "Libya". I am only 16 years old and no one knows of an atheist! Sometimes I feel wrong but logic leads me to atheism with all religions on earth! I would like to talk to anyone who thinks about it and I have found this forum ...
How can I travel outside Libya at this age and make refuge in order to live safely away from terrorism and intolerance to freedom of belief?

Eventually you and people like you are going to be needed across the "Arab world" ...... so you have to keep yourself "safe".... that has to be your first priority ...... Remember Atheism already has more than enough martyrs ..... I would suggest you try to find a trade /job/ skill that will allow you to travel as well as earning a living.....

Then, by all means, keep your head down, your mouth shut, and pretend to be faithful until you can get the hell out of there.
Download TOR (it is free) and use it. If you have a VPN use TOR after you have started the VPN. Always erase your browser history.
If you have the know how use your VPN and TOR on a virtual machine (ubuntu as the OS) that will make you almost impossible to track unless they are camping outside your door and hijacking your modem.
It sounds paranoid, but when the alternative is a lashing followed by death...its worth it. Keep your head down, do what is required in public. Good luck.

Oh my, I sort of feel you in that. I don't live in a muslim country but my family is one. Albeit not strict, they are not welcome to any beliefs, or lack of it thereof, outside the religion. Since you're 16 (I am too), I believe you are still studying. You can start with that. But keep your head low until you can move out of their grasps. Education means facts. Facts mean knowledge. Use that as your ticket out of there and move to more liberated countries where you can speak out your voice and bring your message out to the rest of the world.
