I saw this on The Thinking Atheist and thought it was cute, so I'm sharing it here:

Quite the catchy tune!
Yeah! I'm going to learn the words so I can sing it to my first grandchild when they arrive in November. :-D
Being a grandparent is the best thing ever! You’ll love it!
Awwww... Cute! That tune will now be stuck in my head for awhile, though. *sigh* lol
The performer/author is Ronnie Williams, who challenged John Howards chaplancy in schools in Queensland and won...the Libs then reworded stuff and rammed their legislation through...
Sorry I feel like a commercial in amongst the adoration of grandkids, I have one too, but Ronnie deserves a special mention for his enormous quest and temporary victory against religion in schools besides his witty and clever song.
As you were.....I might sing this to my 2 yo Gdaughter too.
It will never make the top 10 list.
I thought dogs go to heaven. why not bees?
I like the line at 1:42 ~ "From all of life why should the only ones saved be the species worst behaved?"
Me too, Kitty! :-D

I particularly like Cynthia Carle's 'Sunday in Reality'. Roy Zimmerman's ' I Want a Marriage Like They Had In the Bible'.

One non-believer and mother said she stopped watching Why Don't Bees Go To Heaven with her 5 year old, even though they both enjoyed singing along to it. She seemed to see it as indoctrinating him in the same way as teaching him hymns. I don't agree with that at all. He and his mother should be free to hear hymns and all sceptical songs (or free to not hear them) as long as they aren't inappropriate. Exposure isn't the problem and parental views necessarily influence their children, its programming and indoctrination that is wrong. Any imbalance is a mistake, such as emphasising one religion or superstition to the virtual exclusion of others and teaching they are 'the truth' and 'God's word'. Failing to subject all these ideas to critical thinking would be the mistake.
