Walter, before you jump to conclusions about the purpose behind any action taken by a moderator in these forums, It would be wise to first ask what that purpose is and the details of the situation at hand.
We weren't silencing dissenters like a cult or political machine, we were ridding ourselves of a spammer. Said spammer would create multiple accounts and flood the debate room with advertisements for new age mysticism bullshit like love potions and crystals. It was highly annoying, still happens quite often, and is used to target our website. So how about you fall off your high horse and stop being a judgmental asshole.

High horse huh? You guys are so sensitive. You think i’m arrogant huh? How so? Cause I write a few stinging comments? Talk about double standard. You can dish out all these insults about christians and their intelect but you can’t take a dose of your own medicine. I guess your constant bashing has made us stronger, while you have become a fragile flower in need of a safe space. You can go to one if you’d like, but as for this forum, I thought it is for the free flow of ideas. Not for terminating those you don’t agree with.
FFS, Walter, do you not understand what spam is? Even after it’s been explained? If you continue to hammer on this, I will be forced to assume you are a troll and you will have put me in the position to take action.
Walter, this thread is about the removal of accounts that post 100's of the same (or slightly altered) posts, which are advertisements for a business. Those posts make the forum unusable, and will be removed, despite your protests.
Have you guys thought about using Disqus or some other third-party threading for comments? It would relieve you of the management of the spammers, and the overhead of even managing comments.
