. . .

Here's my experiences with Atheism in a nutshell:

1. Magic does not exist.

2. Heaven does not exist.

3. Souls do not exist.

4. Everything we see, feel, and touch comes from our brain.

5. If people die, that means their bodies will rot away into dust.

6. Everything we ever learned as humans is a big fat lie.

7. The only thing people should believe in is science and nothing else.

8. If you’re not an Atheist, then you are a worthless human being and/or an idiot.

This is what I keep finding out of Atheists everywhere. They think that life coming from nothing but a mere accident is a "happy and rational thought". They claim that no afterlife and no God helps them live life happily, but for me it's the complete opposite. It makes me feel worthless and it also makes me want to kill myself. To learn that my and everyone else's entire existence was just a mere accident and nothing we will ever do as humans will change a damn thing. I might as well not exist anymore.

I cannot speak for all atheists, but I can speak for one, ME, (just one atheist).

To points 1. through 5. I would say that I have had no reason, nor evidence, nor ever heard a good argument as to why their existences are true or real. Maybe they are, maybe they aren't, but without good reason, evidence, or argument, I do not believe their existences be true.

Point 6. Everything we ever learned as humans is a big fat lie, makes no sense to me. There are loads of things we've learned that are true. I bet that I'd say that many of the things that you think to be true, I'd accept as true also. Just not things to do with gods or supernatural powers, (SHOW me I'm wrong, and I'll have to change my mind)..

Point 7. The only thing people should believe in is science and nothing else. I don't agree with that either, but science has been shown as a good and reliable way for getting to good answers about how the universe operates. But you can believe other things than what science tells you. However, if you're going to say that science has got it wrong, you had better have some good evidence.

Point 8. If you’re not an Atheist, then you are a worthless human being and/or a idiot. No way. People are not worthless, and if you are religious, neither are you worthless. You're not necessarily stupid - I can't tell from what you've written so far. And by the way, I don't write the word atheist with a capital first letter, I don't think that we're that special.

If you need to believe in a god, to feel worthwhile, and to NOT want to kill yourself, then go ahead. Believe. But for the atheist, not believing does not necessarily lead happiness, (or sadness). As far as I am concerned, what is true is true, and so be it. Without any god, we can make our lives have value by what we choose to do with it.

Being an atheist in no way makes a person good, or nice, or reasonable, or rational. Maybe you've communicated with a bad lot.

Anyway, I wish you the best, Michael. Mutorc S'yriah.

My experiences with religion:

My experiences with religion:

  • You are an imperfect creature full of failures and urges that was created by a perfect being that does everything right.
  • A being that deceives you by making sure there is no trace of him whatsoever has nothing but love for you even though he'll torture you for eternity if you're fooled by his deception.
  • An omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent deity is always short on cash.

Things I found interesting.

Things I found interesting.

1. "If you’re not an Atheist, then you are a worthless human being and/or an idiot."

Atheists have high regards for everyone as individuals. It may seem otherwise because there are other theists out there who play their power against non-believers because they have "god by their side". Their, or should I say, your "oh so loving god". Don't expect that all athiests are the same either.

2. "The only thing people should believe in is science and nothing else."

"Science is FACT. Religion is faith." The latter of which we don't have because faith doesn't provide you food. It's called WORKING AND EARNING MONEY. Because it's a FACT that praying for anything wouldn't get you everything unless you work your ass for it. Besides, if faith is really that effective, how come we have medicine to cure diseases and illnesses? Tsk tsk.

And

3. "Magic does not exist."

You're kidding right? MAGIC REALLY DOESN'T EXIST. Even Jesus did not provide 2000 people with enough fishes and bread because fairy dust came out of his fingers and multiplied their food. He had "faith" which pretty much works if you're a character that exists in the bible. But since you're not, save yourself the trouble and start believing in the FACT that magic really isn't real.

Magic does exist. And also, a lot of atheists here mock and hate religion. I'm not saying ALL though.

Since you can't demonstrate

Since you can't demonstrate any magic I'll continue to be sceptical. Magic is an illusion done with smoke and mirrors. It's just an art form like ballet dancing.
