The Mormon Church decides to

The Mormon Church decides to motivate its own members to resign from the church...

"This Saturday, There Will Be a Mass Resignation from Mormonism in Salt Lake City"
http://www.patheos.com/blogs/friendlyatheist/2015/11/10/this-saturday-th...

This is following the new Church policy:
People in same-sex relationships will now be considered apostates and children of same-sex couples must Disavow their parents.

"Legislation preventing

"Legislation preventing protesters from coming within 150 metres of an abortion clinic has passed the Upper House of the Victorian Parliament without amendment.
The abortion buffer zone laws make it illegal for anti-abortion protesters to harass or film women going in or coming out of the clinics."

Great development, but it sure took some time to get there.

"A “DR BEECHING-style”

"A “DR BEECHING-style” approach to closing churches would be a mistake, the Bishop of Worcester, Dr John Inge, said this week, because “thousands of closed churches would send out a very powerful message: that the Church and the Christian faith have had their day in this country.”"

Every country should clearly

Every country should clearly separate religion from civil law.
To register a marriage has nothing to do with faith.
In my country, the civil marriage in the townhall, is required by law before the couple can even think of a church.
Priests do not register a marriage, the mumble-jumble is for those who believe.
So as an atiest, I can get married whitout any problem.
That is also why, on the US currency, there is no reason to say 'in God we trurst'
Governments must avoid every suggestion or even link to religion. Hence, in my opinion, no symbols, religious tuniques or symbols for the staff.

Quite right. Britain still

Quite right. Britain still has an established church which the queen is head of, and bishops still lurk in the (non-elected) upper chamber, voting on laws. There are state-funded faith schools of xtian, muslim and jewish persuasion. Utter, utter nonsense.
