Jon Stewart Ridicules Fox for Annual “War on Christmas” Complaint

Jon Stewart Ridicules Fox

At the beginning of his Daily Show on December 3, television host Jon Stewart scoffed at Fox News for their annual ritual called the ‘War on Christmas.’ Stewart referred to the channel’s overblown fear mongering over a swimming lesson for Muslim girls as well as Sarah Palin’s desperate attempt to promote a Christmas book this year. Then there were references to William James Bill O’Reilly’s ravings over how the retail stores too, somehow manage to participate in this apparent war on Christmas. At the end of the show, Stewart reminded the viewer that if Palin and O’Reilly do in fact believe that commercialization of Christmas is what helps to spread the holiday cheer, they may just have a new rival in Pope Francis who is also waging ‘war on Christmas’.
