I had joined several sites before to attempt to find an Atheist community, but this site by far outperforms anything out there! Information, debate, reason, and awesome stuff can all be found here in ample supply! I am very glad I found Atheist Republic, and I will not be leaving! It is truly among the best of ports in the storm, as it were.

I have always been agnostic I guess.. I have always reasoned each and every act people do in name of their God and Religion. But I could never debate with Believers because I couldn't find enough points to describe how I feel, AR has helped me with enough facts to challenge the Religious evils present

Dear Athiest Republic Community, You are doing a very good job by posting such content in the public sphere. It helps other atheists to understand that they are not alone in having a disbelief in a supernatural being and opposing ridiculous trends of religion. Knowing that other people share the same concerns as yours regarding the outrageous religious traditions also helps them emotionally and mentally. Last but not least, your posts in public spheres help people to be at peace being an atheist in the midst of all the religious dogmas. Once again, Thanks for creating such an online community. glad to have found this site. glad to see that there are black atheists like me. at 63, have been atheist since i was 12. hid it for yrs, but it slowly started to come out, and many evangelinut friends tried to bring me back into the fold. i told them i could not come back, as i was never "in the fold," in the first place. sick of rightwing religious nuts tainting the waters between gov and church. thank gawd more and more young people are becoming nones

I guess the reason why I can't be a Christian,is that I'm not so poor of character that I would even consider letting someone suffer in my place if I truly Deserved it. AR has helped me to see and know the world as it is..thank you

One thing I explicitly enjoy about this group is that even through the good and bad experiences we all may have shared in this group, AR is deeply and inherently a group full of caring, kind-hearted individuals that enjoy the time they spend helping others in ways that many other organizations have attempted and failed to do. No matter what area of the world you may come from, there is a giant home for all of us to live in right here with a massive family of atheists who all promote and share different ideas that we can work together on to accomplish great things. And THAT is exactly what creates a good site on the internet. I am proud to say from an IT standpoint, that with your help, another wonderful addition to the global bandwidth of the internet has been made with both Atheist Republic Masterminds and now a support group linked within the AR website. I applaud the work and efforts of the administration and community alike.

When I first accepted who I was, and that I didn't believe as others did, I felt alone, ostricised, and afraid. It wasn't until I found Casper and AR, that I felt I could actually be who I was. That I wasn't alone. That I wasn't wrong, about what I didn't believe in. So if you are looking for a family that no matter the differences, or disagreements, will still accept you, then Atheist Republic, is your internet home away from home.

Being an Atheist in an otherwise pretty religious town can get lonely at times. Luckily, the internet also has a place where I can talk with others about my belief in facts. Thank you Atheist Republic!

As an atheist doctor who is from Syria I am facing a hard time sharing my thoughts and beliefs. I believe the smartest decision I have ever took is leaving Islam. Although my dad will hate me for this I wish someday I can talk with him briefly about it, and share with my community what I think. This page is a hope for all those hidden atheists that face death every day in a hostile environment. And I would like to thank the ones who created such great thing. Thanks

I live in the country that was under communist regime at the time I grew up, so I was not pressured to be a part of the Eastern Orthodox Christianity, that was predominant in my culture. After the fall of the communism, many discovered religion, and it became integral part of Serbian identity; but even in these new circumstances, I can freely express my lack of belief, without fear of any consequence. I have a freedom to express myself, but I lacked the friends' understanding. Your vision of Atheist Republic made a leeway for people like me to find each other. There, I found many people whose friendship is of outmost importance to me. People that I think of as a part of my family. Friends with whom I can be myself, without fear of them not understanding, so I no longer feel lonely or lost. In there, I also found the love of my life; the woman that is perfect in every possible way. Your vision created the path for us to find each other. I can only imagine of how much importance this is to people whose lives can even be at stake if they freely express themselves. I want to thank you for having the vision that made all this possible.

I have been living in a country that intoxicate the young with religious fanaticism. It is really hard to break your shell and live outside the cloak of ignorance imposed by the adults. When you say something against their belief, their eyes pierce your body like bullets and their words will strike you down like a sword. This is the only place where I can be myself and not to be someone that society expects me to be.

Am from ethiopia where a christianity is dominant...I have been an atheist for a few years now but I have never had any one I can talk to about it. My entire family are christians and when I bring it up, they get mad at me and try and convert me back to a christian. It always ends up in a fight between me and my religion freak family. I came out as an atheist about four years ago, and I haven't looked back at the times of the indoctrination my parents attempted to put me through. I feel like on this forum and with the help of fellow atheists I can tell my ideals to the world!

I belong to India, a place where religious compulsion has its own hue. Even after having many atheist friends, I have a special place for 'Atheist Republic' because here I get food for my inquisitive mind. I get new ideas about atheism, religion and faith over which I contemplate in order to derive certain rational conclusions about my position on faith and religion. I must say they are doing a wonderful job!
