The Catholic Bishop of Shrewsbury recently warned that Christians may soon become strangers in their own land. Rt Rev Mark Davies shared this message with more than 1000 Catholics during a five-day prayer fest that was organized in Norfolk.
Gary McFarlane and Lillian Ladele both had religious issues with dealing with same sex couples. Ladele refused to hold civil ceremonies for couples looking to get married and McFarlane was fired from his job after refusing to council and assist same sex couples.
A joint investigation carried out by the Times and an Australian newspaper has unearthed a child abuse case that was not reported to the police by the former archbishop Lord Hope of Thornes. The alleged perpetrator of the abuse was a former dean of Manchester Cathedral Robert Waddington. Waddington died in 2007 following throat cancer
