Book Review " Deception and Myths of the Bible" L. Graham

I have read this book 5 times and I have still learned something new. For example, how there are 16 other gods with the same Jesus story(Hesus being Druid). This book is the nail of the coffin for the book called the bible. Published in the mid seventies, it is truly revolutionary. The reader is introduced to a crash course as to what is a real myth. The reader is further introduced to myth criteria, evolution vs. involution and it corresponding triangular graph. Even if you do not understand the corresponding levels of involution, the reader is apprised as to the amazing collateral facts of other pagan religious doctrines that are exactly like those in the bible. The book further introduces you to a very novel idea, that ancient Jewish priest perverted the traditional myth formula by creating a personal god with this continuation in the New Testament. This book sabotages other biblical stories, Babel Tower, the flood, the miracles, and most importantly the false foundations of the Catholic faith. I could write about ten more pages, but if you are interested in the source material of the bible, then Llody Grahman`s book give you the ammunition to debunk just about every page of the worst book in History...."The Bible"

HUH???? Lloyd M. Graham

HUH???? Lloyd M. Graham is a pseudonym. Because of the controversial nature of his writings, he does not want his identity or his hometown revealed.
"The book is Deceptions and Myths of the Bible (Citadel Press, 1975), and it is partly standard "pagan theft" thesis, partly New Age material, partly conspiracy theory. It is filled with incomprehensible diagrams, polemic, and what can only be charitably be called semantic evasions; it was a regular feature in catalogs sent to me (as a librarian) by Barnes and Noble, suggesting that it still sells well.

The author is styled "Lloyd M. Graham", and we aren't told a thing about him; there is no bibliography to speak of, and little offered in the way of proof for what is asserted throughout. To this day, no one knows who Graham is, but his writing style and his ideas sound suspiciously like Alvin Boyd Kuhn."

Careful what you take as fact from this. While the book is interesting, it smacks of the same skill set as the Divinci Code. If you plan on using any material from it, you will have to fact check your source carefully. The book itself is not a reliable source.

@ Old Man et al

@ Old Man et al

It should be in the Book Review but as I found with my review of Spong's book there doesn't seem to be a "start new topic" for that section, not since March at least.
Anyone else get that problem or is this proof positive of my low ranking in the evolutionary survival index?
Mods?

OK Nyar, I took the bait and

OK Nyar, I took the bait and checked out the volunteer section. They dont have any openings for volunteer truck drivers so I am opting for volunteer editor for which I do have some qualifications and experience, minor as they are.

This gig would have to be more interesting than transcribing/editing the Annual Meetings of the Actuarial Society of Oz.

When I have edited my first AR article you can send me the secret method of posting book reviews and I swear I won't tell a soul (unless they volunteer for something. Good sort of game isn't it?).

I recommend, How Jesus became

I recommend, How Jesus became God by Bart Erhman, lectures available on YouTube. Proving History by Richard Carrier is another good book and it has been peer reviewed. It is an accepted academic work. End of Faith by Sam Harris or Letter to a Christian Nation were both quite good. Daniel Denmett, Breaking the Spell. Oh... a couple of favorites... Misquoting Jesus and Jesus Interrupted, both by Bart Eherman.
