Girl Scout Promise

My daughter is a Girl Scout Junior and has recently started wondering how to express her (lack of) faith in public. Living in Texas, this can sometimes be dangerous for kids. She already leaves "under god" out of the pledge of allegiance, but is wondering how to amend the Girl Scout Promise line, "To serve god and my country" to better reflect her atheism. Other than simple omission, why disrupts the cadence, what are your suggestions?
