Anti-biotic from Fly .

The new buzz on Antibiotics : ABC News

The surface of flies is the last place you would expect to find antibiotics, yet that is exactly where a team of Australian researchers is concentrating their efforts.

Prophet Muhummed (sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallaam) said: “If a housefly falls in the drink of anyone of you, he should dip it (in the drink), for one of its wings has a disease and the other has the cure for the disease.” (Al-Bukhari)

If you're implying that

If you're implying that Muhammed predicted that flies would carry antibiotics, then why did take hundreds of years for a non-muslim Scottish scientist to first discover antibiotics, and then for a team of Australian scientists to discover the antibiotics on the fly?

Secondly, house flies can be the carrier of many diseases, which are typically transmitted via the legs or from the fly vomiting on its food (when house flies eat, they vomit onto the foot to liquidise it in order to suck up the remaining liquid), not the wings.

Thirdly, the antibiotics obtained from the fly have no connection to diseases that flies carry. For example, the study you linked showed that the antibiotic carried by the fly affected the bacteria E. Coli, yeast (which is technically a fungus) and an unspecified hospital pathogen... yet the fly can transmit bacteria such as tuberculosis, anthrax and salmonella - all three of which are completely different to the three species of microbes that were provided in your link.

My second and third points therefore show inaccuracies in your quote from Mohammed.

Finally, I'm currently writing a response to a post you made earlier asf. I'm hoping to provide much more in-depth scientific answers about the origin of life, the origin of the universe and evolution.
