Ok JOC why don't you go to

Ok JOC why don't you go to your church and tell them to open up their financial books to the public... tell them that this will help make people stop lying about how bad the church is or how corrupt it is. Ask all churches to allow their books to be audited, such a response and respectable act would surely spread some light on this issue and allow the church to denounce assertions of their evil.

Jon the Catholic is denying

Jon the Catholic is denying that atrocities against humanity were made and are made in the name of jesus and the catholic church, sponsored by the catholic church.
AJ777 can't even get a definition correct. He is quite simply a hypocrite.

Mykcob4, yes I am a hypocrite

Mykcob4, yes I am a hypocrite. In fact I lack the belief that non-hypocrites exist. Why so angry about a belief you don’t have?

I am angry because this

I am angry because this belief has allowed people to make laws that govern what I do and what others do. I am mad because this belief has allowed people to commit crimes in its name. To just name two! If I wrote why I dislike your belief it would be longer than the Bible itself

Are you saying we should have

Are you saying we should have no laws? As to crimes committed in the name of Christianity; you can’t judge a religion rightly, by those who don’t rightly follow it.

And again this will be a

And again this will be a circular argument of bullshit....
Here we go again!
The Bible allows you to own women as property and give her to your servant, if your servant leaves after 6 years of service you own the woman and her children and can beat them as long as they do not die within a day or two.
Is that no a crime directly condoned by your holy book?

The Old Testament laws were

The Old Testament laws were given to Israel for them to follow at that time. Christians do not believe those laws are binding on us today because Jesus has given us a new and better covenant. You are wrong on many levels.

So what verse in the Bible

So what verse in the Bible denounces slavery?
Also was this moral?

1 Timothy 1:10, the Bible

1 Timothy 1:10, the Bible does not address every single immoral act a person could commit, the purpose of the Bible is to make a person wise unto salvation.

10 For whoremongers, for them

10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
11 according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

That's 1 Timothy 1:10 and 1:11. No mention of slavery or anything. Doesn't even say whoremongering is wrong. Did you get the right chapter and verse?

I will answer for him......

I will answer for him...... ya you just don't understand what it says because god hasn't given you apologetic glasses. But once you allow yourself to be brainwashed then you will understand.

Oh and if these laws were

Oh and if these laws were only givin to the Israelites then did everyone on earth have to follow them?

AJ777's picture
No

No

Then I have no need for your

Then I have no need for your god or your book...

Aposteriori unum's picture
So yeah, atheists have

So yeah, atheists have access to bibles too, so if you give chapter and verse you should probably make sure it says what you say it does.

Actually, you know what? I

Actually, you know what? I'll answer the original question for him... ("What verse in the bible denounces slavery? "--Burn Your Bible)

None. Not one single verse.
