The Bible in a Nutshell

I like to tell people that I didn't become an atheist, I simply started being honest about how I truly felt and what I truly believe, or rather, don't believe. I've questioned my faith since a very early age, and after a great deal of poking and prodding, I realized I just don't have faith in any of it.

As I began to explore atheism and the atheist community on the internet, I started to really see just how insidious religion truly is. I stumbled across the Atheist Republic website in late 2013 and began blogging just to put some of my ideas out there into the ether. The response to my writing was awesome, and in late 2014 I released my first book The Bible in a Nutshell, which has also had a great response.

My latest book, Holy Sh!t The Insanity of Blind Faith, is the first of a four-volume collection dealing with just how insane it is to accept religious ideas on blind faith. In this first volume I dissect Christianity by way of the doctrine known as the bible. I shed light on many of the most irrational and illogical ideas from the bible, by offering an objective and realistic perspective by which to gauge the sanity of these ideas. I also present the idea that wearing the label of "Christian" is a by proxy user agreement that says that you agree with all these insane ideas.

This latest book is geared specifically for the moderate Christian, and would be a great book to use to show your moderate Christian friends just how insane their religion truly is. — Casper Rigsby

Humorous, concise summary of the Bible
"Easily sums up the absurdities of a book I was long ago brainwashed into thinking was the "word of God". It took me years to finally conclude that the bible is nothing more than a violent fairytale. This book can do the same for other budding skeptics, but in much less time."

Fitting title
"Having read the bible myself (it was what made me an atheist), this book does what the title implies and does it quite humorously. This book should be placed in nightstand drawers of hotels across America.... perhaps more would see the lunacy that is the holy bible. I also dug some of the pop culture references as well as the special edition DVD style format (alternate and deleted scenes). A fun and quick read that I definitely recommend."

Short, but insightful
"This is truly a rendering of the bible in a nutshell. A hilarious nutshell at that. This is a wonderful little primer for anyone unfamiliar with the bible and might find the undertaking of reading it daunting. For those of us who have already took that grueling journey, we are sure to get a few chuckles out of this fast-forwarded adventure. At times, I thought, "why didn't the author talk about this or that?" However, the bible is already a long, dry, humorless tome. So to keep things short & sweet, many things had to be omitted. This is still a very funny & insightful few minutes in any waiting room or local transit or wherever you need to pass a few minutes with a few laughs."
