Just came across this and my thoughts would have been to take the tax benefits offered for Atheist to the umpteenth degree. We could use the money for Advancement of science, the arts, meals on wheels, all the things trump keeps killing off. Do you think atheists should receive equal tax benefits like churches?

"The Justice Department’s view: Buddhism and Taoism are affiliations that don’t believe in God, but they’re still considered religions and are qualified for the benefit."
Exactly... because they are actual... self proclaimed... Religions. Can somebody just slap the justice dept. in the head as if they should've had a V8???
Thanks.

this article is way back in 2012 but clearly says how unfair it is too the non-religeous.
Putting a price on using ones imagination would be unwholesome, which is to say a person should not be charged a fee to engage in god-worship activities while a person who does not engage in such worship must pay for not doing so.
Makes perfect sense to me only because that's the way it is. If I attempted to believe it nonsensical I'd drive myself crazy. I'd rather pay for my sanity.
I think that they should tax churches at 40% and take that money and give it to Planned Parenthood!
That would be hilarious- but churches technically don't profit- though they receive money, they don't produce anything physical, and so you'd just more be taxing donations to the church.
