Atheist Republic symbol

I'm new here and I'm just getting acquainted with the Atheist Republic website. Can anyone explain the meaning of the symbol that appears on T-shirts from Zazzle? I'm referring to the circle with the lion and horse on opposite sides. Can anyone tell me what that is saying? Thanks.

Thanks Armin, that answers my question perfectly. I was about to order a T-shirt with that symbol on it. Someone is bound to ask me what the symbol means and I didn't have a clue. How silly would I have looked. Ha.

I too wondered about it at one time and thought at first glance it was a king lion and unicorn but on closer observation i saw it was as you said a lion and horse do I looked into it. Armin's link explains it well. Alos look into Occam's Razor it was interest for me at least to learn about it. http://math.ucr.edu/home/baez/physics/General/occam.html
