Yes, I agree. You actually make a lot of sense in this post.
I'm not sure stopping the immigration completely is the right move though, since there are a lot of people who are running from Islam and don't care much about religion.
Is it worth the risk?
Depending on who is counting and why they are counting I've read that between zero and twenty-five percent of Islamists are Jihadis. For the sake of discussion lets say only five percent are willing and able to do violence. For perspective that means five of every one hundred, fifty out of every one thousand wish to perpetrate violence on the "Great Satan" that they believe the U.S.A. to be. Even though some may not be interested in religion even they have cause for resentment. I don't see where it is in our best interests to invite them into our home. I use the U.S.A. as an example because that's where I reside. The same applies for France, Great Britain and any other nation they have cause to be irked with.
I agree that immigration should not be stopped, but some conditions must be made upon entry.
Like accepting a version of the Muslim religion which is benign, also completely refute and hunt down any other version, including the people who support them.
The only way to win against a theology is to make another theology to counter it.
That is what the Romans did and it worked.
This is the only way to filter the "sick" from the bad.
Islam is bad? I say every religion is bad. Blood and tears will always follow. It's happening now, it's happened in the past and will happen in the future.
Aldous Huxley said: "humanity canonized its ignorance as political and religious dogma". There will always be religion, there will always be violence justified by religion. It's only human.
