Work

A member of management has requested my friendship on Facebook. This is normal in my workplace. I'm sceptical on if I should accept though. I am openly atheist on Facebook and I am nervous this will affect my opportunities at work as I do live in the religious south and most of the people I work with are religious. I am a union member so if I suspected anything about discrimination in regards to promotions I would likely be able to fight it. But I'm more worried people will treat me differently. Have any of you been through this? What should I do?

I think Facebook relations

I think Facebook relations should be outside a work place and should never involve superiors and subordinates. Nothing good could come from it. In the military, this type of relationship is considered fraternization and is a criminal offense for good reason. It jeopardizes the subordinate and or compromises the superior.
