Are Ideas "Special"

Should folks think of individual ideas as special and privatized to the elite? Or should everyone have access? What about modern medicine access, or the future of the human race? Should only the elite end up the winners in this future of human society?

This concept is beautifully

This concept is beautifully summed up in Richard Dawkins book 'The Selfish Gene'.

You could say that elitists that horde everything for themselves are displaying attributes that go hand in hand with 'survival of the fittest'.

However, groups the cooperate are the ones that progress in an evolutionary sense.

So sharing to an ideal number (not too few and not too many) would be the ideal.

As a humanist however, I would hope that all advances are shared and available to all.
