I agree with Jared that astrological signs and racism are a method of stereotyping unique individuals. However, astrological signs have not been used as a rational for genocide or slavery.

I agree. Race has been used to oppress people for millennia and stereotypes serve to reinforce that oppression. We are not having to fight discrimination based on the time of year someone is born. So while both astrological signs and racism endorse stereotypes, only one of these upholds our systems of oppression.

Yet...
Horoscopes and believing in them just illustrates how religion has been used to discriminate against people the OP is perfectly correct!
