Okay, I'm about to do the task you asked.
Before I begin, was your position "(2t^3 + t^2 + 5t +8)ĵ" defined explicitly as a function of time t?
Yes. See how it has t's in it? That is what those are for. Must be hard to get a PhD if you don't know that!
Actually as far as I see, you only defined a position, not a position function. To my understanding, your position is a vector, but not a function, and your position includes the 1D associated unit vector ĵ, that permits a simple 1D launching condition (i.e. backward and forward starting points).
The position function would look something like x(t), and your position vector would look something like x(t)=(2t^3 + t^2 + 5t +8)ĵ. A wikibooks link shows relevant examples.
What I gave you is a position function; specifically it is a function of time; that is why it has "t"'s in it!
You claimed to be a PhD candidate in physics and computer science; but couldn't do simple calculus. Then you claimed to be a high school student but can't do algebra. TROLL!
Worse: I already went over this, demonstrating how it is a position function, not a position:
That is a great idea! Oh look, it had no trouble identifying it as a function and calculating the derivative our PhD candidate said couldn't be done!
Personally I'm not an fan of argument by calculator; but nothing else seems to be soaking in.
Well. Stare is gone too. Tried accessing profile but no go.
But that is alright. Went back and re-read thread. Stare's posting style was eerily similar to Avant Brown.
And to be honest, I could not calculate that problem without some help. Ain't messed with much calculus except to script a program.

I'm not really sure where to post this, I suppose this thread is as good a place as any.
Earlier I posted something about how I was confused about what exactly was going on with Avant Brown; and what his relation was to ProgrammingGodJordan? It turns out the person behind the accounts of Avant Brown, Stare, and transgenderedheathen is a long time active member of AR (so they had read posts by ProgrammingGodJordan on this site). That person goes by the name: ʝօɦn 6IX ɮʀɛɛʐy, who's account is now disabled.
Re John 6IX Breezy
Bloody Hell...what an arse!
I must admit I stopped responding to all those alias posts a few days ago (Breezy sometime ago). They just didn't seem..."right" somehow. Breezy because of the lies and misogyny.
Well done Nyar for ferreting that out...I wonder how many other long gone posters were John in disguise?
Well your gawd help you if our Mods catch you out....take note peoples!
Have to agree on the "arse" bit. I was having a bit of fun with his theist tactic of repeating the same crap but repeating my same crap.
Old Man: "I wonder how many other long gone posters were John in disguise?"
I had always been wondering the same. Even PMed Nyar about it once or twice knowing that an IP address could be spoofed, making it look like a completely different location. I even put some of the posts through a writing analysis program and was getting a dead on match. Hell, I have even put my writings through and found my writing style was similar to HP Lovecraft.
Well, I have to give credit to Nyarlathotep. He is like the "God Mod" here.
Good work Nyar. Thanks for all you do.

Amusingly enough, I called it on page two of this thread.
Wow! Breezy was making sock puppets?

Re: John Breezy
Say WHAAAAAAAAAA....???
Wow! Way to go, Nyar! Well, that certainly does explain a lot. Now I'm wondering if our green Hulkster friend might be one of the many puppets. Hmmmm....
