WE don't have that chain ,at least not in my state.
However ,we have Gloria Jean's coffee chain ,which is owned by Seventh Day Adventists . I think they also own "Sanitarium" which makes Australia's most popular breakfast cereal "Weetbix" (see link for 16 second commercial on Youtube)

OT: Starbucks bombed in OZ . They didn't do their home work, making arrogant assumptions instead. Oz already had a well developed cafe culture ,going back to Italian migrants in the1950's .
@ Cranky
Gloria Jeans was owned by supporters and members of the pedophile enabling "church" Hillsong. Which our esteemed happy clapper PM belongs to. They did not pay tax for years using the church as a cover for massive donations.
Gloria Jeans was going to be bought by Singapore based yellow pages when a boycott of their stores was becoming very vocal and very effective.
They were then bought by RFG, a listed company that own several other franchises like Brumby's Bakery, Donut King and the ill fated and dying 'Michelles Patisserie' ( dying of corporate greed by all accounts) RFG is not affiliated to nor does it make massive donations to any church except our Liberal Party (sarcasm). RFG is a beacon of greed at the expense of franchises according to many reports in the media.
You are correct about Sanitarium owning a large chunk of the $billion breakfast cereal market her in Oz. Fuck em, I do not buy their products nor Kellogg.
Also bang on about Starbucks who have just sold the name and last 22 stores to the 7Eleven Franchise owners. You cant sell shit coffee in Australia according to their new CEO...at least he is honest!
Pity. I really like Michelle's. On the rare occasions I buy a coffee and cake, it's from Michelles .
Don't care about Gloria Jeans,I never bought a coffee there because I thought they were expensive and because I didn't like the ambience .Something tacky about it.
I still like and buy Weetbix; WhenI was first diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, I saw a dieticians and the local hospital. She recommended three only breakfast cereals; Rolled oats (NOT quick oats) Weetbix and some type of Kellogs shit. I won't buy Kellogs because I think their packaging has more nutrition than the contents
Also gave Subway the flick when I discovered their 12 inch Sub is only 11 inches. This was just after I had been charged around $3 for a cup of INSTANT coffee!
Yeah, I've heard the shit coffee thing about Starbucks from several sources. I drink fresh plunger/espresso coffee at home, the best I can afford .Also suspected Starbucks might sell muck when I saw the creative ways they fuck up a cup of coffee. IMO if I can't drink it espresso style, it ain't worth drinking
I have bad news, they expanded to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and the sole store is having great business.

I've never seen a Chick Fill-A restaurant, but I wouldn't want to eat anything made by people who spend so much time obsessing about what other people do in their bedrooms. Who knows where their hands have been?
As for Sanitarium, it was founded by a Seventh Day Adventist chef from Kellogg's Battle Creek Sanitarium in the US. Today they dominate the Australian-New Zealand markets for cereals and peanut butter, etc., but because the companies belong to a religious organization they pay no tax. A friend of my mother who worked in their factory in the early 60s told us that they had compulsory prayers at the start of every shift.
