It seems that the religious offerings on TV provide a lot of data to back up Poe's claims about religions, especially the fraud and greed motivations. According to these religious programs, those who offer tithes will receive financial blessings ten times as great as the tithes. These kind of scams illustrate that there is truly a lot of greed and fraud going on. It amazes me that religious groups who develop "responsible" TV programming don't take a stand against these charlatans, especially to protect elder citizens who are routinely deprived of a lot of their assets. I remember back when Jim and Tammy Bakker bankrupted thousands of elderly viewers by their scams. I don't recall any religious groups or leaders taking a stand against these criminals or warning the elderly or other vulnerable viewers. What a shame!
