I think my sister wishes I go Christian

Fact of the matter is, I wont go any religion of the thousands to choose from. I feel as though this is the right path, even though it leads to nowhere. Once I am gone that's it, like life before I was born. I just wont be here anymore, but I write stories which will probably be appreciated even after my death.

Where the F*** am I? I just wont believe in any god, maybe earth as god? LOL.

This is fact, we need to start taking better care of our planet so our planet can take care of us.

No I wont go Christian as everyone on here knows I feel like it's a wasted part of my life.
The fellowship was nice, but we could get together for other reasons and then drop church and religion. But as Seth MacFarlane says it will probably take at least 200 years yet till everyone drops all religion, we're not growing in numbers fast, but there's definitely a few more out there, and people coming out about it too.

It's not bad being atheist, I feel I made the right decision to just become atheist. There's no proof of the Christian god nor any other god.

Umm, we need a backstory.

Is your sister urging you to go to church?

No she just hates that I am an atheist, thinks I am going to hell.

That is a bummer, but religion is divisive. The dynamics within your family if proof. You love her, she loves you, but religion is warping your relationship.

There are many ways to deal with this sad situation, but always, constantly, tell her you love her.

Of course I love my sister, it doesn't matter that she's closed minded and doesn't know it. Many people are not ready to drop their religions.

It hasn't changed me as a person, I am just atheist. She's getting use to it, slowly.

"No she just hates that I am an atheist, thinks I am going to hell."

That's unfortunate, yet with respect, her problem, not yours.

Imo to do what your sister wants to please her is an act of moral cowardice. I've been there mate, but nothing to do with religion, As a result, I didn't see or speak to my sister for four years. .Would I do the same again? In a heartbeat.

That was 30 years ago, these days we're pretty close.

I am unconvinced that

I am unconvinced that religion will ever "go away." Not even in 200 years. People, in my opinion, are hard wired to be religious. The real question is "What will replace our modern day religions?" Just as religions of old were replaced with our modern versions of the same irrational beliefs, so too will our modern beliefs be replaced. Rationality does not appear to be a characteristic, but rather, an ability that needs to be acquired through work and study. I think the facts support the idea that most people are unwilling to do the work.

Theists who "Convert" to atheism are a prime example of this. They do not know how to exist in the world without having a belief system. They "Join" atheism and think of it as a belief system with leaders. They actually believe there is an "Atheist Ideology" or "An Atheist World View." They enter the world of atheism using the only tools they have ever been given to make sense of the world around them... "Faith and Belief."

Absolutely anything can be believed based on the foundation of "Faith" Anything!

I go on facts and so do you, and there's zero evidence of any god.
So we are on the same page.

Yeah faith in something is no more than an emotion, and ain't real. It is all in one's head that a god even talks to them. Some claim to talk to god. Rambling here, I need to smoke a little more pot. I really need to watch that program sometime with Morgan Freeman (The Story Of God.) he travels around learning about different cultures gods and their separate beliefs of who and what god is. No disrespect to Christianity but there's still over 3200 official religions in the world yet. If everyone either went atheist or just relaxed their ways, we would have world peace pretty fast. Right now that's probably not going to happen. Maybe a war with only one or two nukes and then they both learn their lesson? Who knows, and I am rambling again.

Laters, Fievel. ;-)

They aren’t learning through a pandemic! An easy breezy sit on your ass pandemic!

All the bible-thumpers will use 2 Peter 3:6,7

. 6By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. 7By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.
