There must be more atheists than Ken Ham would ever admit.

A lot of people alive today,

A lot of people alive today, would not be surprised if there was 100 million atheist out there. But atheist causing low visitor turn out? That is just blaming his problems on his perceived enemy, I doubt atheist had much do with attendance numbers at all.

No. This utter lack of

No. This utter lack of realism is the reason for low attendance. But don't forget, noah made it with no ship building experience and four helper with bronze age tools and all Ken needed was a legion of construction workers and heavy equipment and a couple of years

Noah's ark story has so many

Noah's ark story has so many problems with it, it is truly beyond belief anyone actually believes in it. Sure, you can always say god is all powerful and all knowing, but why would god go about this technique, if he can create the earth and everything in it in 6 days, it would be far easier for him to simply wipe the slate clean and remake the planet, then to somehow magically make Noah's ark work, with the technology available to a small group of people.

When I talk to theist about this, they say "well its not all meant to be taken literally," to which I respond, "great! what other parts of the bible are not meant to be taken literally? The bible does not clarify which parts of it are story time versus reality time, why would the bible include such a fantastical story when its supposed to be the word of god and a teaching tool to everyone?

Even today's advance human technology could not build a wood boat big enough and strong enough to do the job. Load and stress limits of even the strongest wood get exceeded, sure, god could magically make it "work," but again with all that power that this god supposedly has there is much easier ways to reach the objective end of a petty, wrathful, jealous god that can create all of creation in 6 days.
