Good point sofapup, I am also intrigued by how plain old dreams and nightmares affected our ancient ancestors.
Or my smiling bird food ... fuckin dreams! Yah! Those “lucid dreams” or “sleep paralysis” fuck with people today -can imagine how they were “interpreted” back then.
Our species distinct ability for abstract thought, both propels us forward, and, holds us back. I think our evolution has yet to address our species obvious failure in reason...yet certain limitations of abstract thought, are present, yet have not been recognized broadly, thanks to the irrational beliefs of religion. A catch twenty two, no...as we have boundaries of reality in place. Religion needs to die, as to allow us correct thought process..
