I know that most of you are familiar about the parable of the lost sheep in the bible. Practically, if you put you feet in the shepherd's shoes, would you really leave majority of your lambs in danger of fox attacks just to find a single lamb that was lost. Doing so may result to further losses. Isn't it?

Honestly, no I wouldn't, but I would probably put on my best thinking cap and try to come up with a solution that allowed all of the sheep, including the one lead astray, into a safe and secure situation.
