I am an atheist and a pandiest, and no, that is not a contradiction; I do not believe in any theistic "philosophy" or tenants, and I believe in a specific flavor of pandeism, in which the pandeus arose through the same mechanisms that all other physical systems exist.
My particular belief in pandeism is that out of the multi-verse, where there may indeed be infinite "universes", one of those universes gained self-awareness and "transcended" itself, and also "transcended" all other "universes". It does not posit that this pandeus intervenes in any "universe" or that a heaven/hell extremist afterlife exists, instead, this particular belief attempts to ground itself in physical theory and explores the possibilities of a boundless multi-verse. One supposition is that an afterlife exists as a sort of imprint on the "universe" like the preservation of quantum information, where the consciousness of an individual is conserved across the multi-verse as described by Sir Roger Penrose.
A part of this belief is that the entire multi-verse is infinite in time, divided up among black-hole/white-hole condensation/expansion "universes" and big bounces. That infinite value seems to permit almost anything happening, where the more probable instances are most likely to occur.
