I know that google are not really nice guys but I think that has nothing to do with christian intention.
Google indexes his own ads. then depending on what you typed on the search, it decides if there is any ad related to what you are searching
Thus if you paced the words "bible contradictions" and Christians had an add for that (for any reason) google will decide to put that add because it thinks you would like it.(lol)
But yea, to have an add with google is a bit expensive, so yea they do have a huge wallet, i get your feeling.
Tit for tat, the argument for or against anything will follow the same key search words. Your results are just coincidental.
But, you're spot on with the wallet angle. If there was no money to be had in god-sponsorship belief systems would collapse upon themselves in a heartbeat. Tax it and all you'll get is the cry of the banshees (ignorant masses) fearing that the ways and means of channeling their belief would disappear. They are the bulk of the vote so the politicos wouldn't tread there as another source of revenue.
I don't know this, but I think you can buy your ad placement in connection to specific search words. It's not that I blame google, they have just set up a functionality to make money.

That would be the way to stop ANY kind of corruption...from clergy, to polititians, to cops, to anyone in positions of power... When caught, take away thier money, and all the nonsense stops. Did you recently see a report that the Vatican Bank's profit was UP TWENTY TIMES... yes, I said TWENTY TIMES, from last year. ( 2014) Yet, they don't pay a penny in taxes,( the working people have to make up for that revenue) and hide behind the cloak of God, and Religion. The Vatican Bank has also been suspected in shady dealings of money laundering, allowing wealthy people of power to keep their money in their bank for political favors, and last but NOT least, profited from the deaths of millions of Jews during the Holocaust...collecting life insurance money from doing business with Italian Insurance companies that were supported by the Nazi's. Look it up. Yet, some Christians with a brain are demanding that the Pope release, and make transparent, The Vatican Bank books, and records...don't hold your breath...not going to happen...WHY THE SECRECY??!! Bunch of hipocrites.
Actually, I've got it wrong...it is the relatives of the Jews that were massacred that demand the Pope make transparent the record books of the Vatican Bank.
