I have come to realize that most people who are smart, who have high values, a strong moral code, a sense of honor and respect for others, are usually also elitists about who they are friends with. They know that people with low morals standards and twisted self centered logic are usually not very reliable, and not worth trying to change. They need to go into that journey on their own, and it usually means they need to endure painful emotional experiences, in order to realize that they have to grow into much better people so that they can be happy and make those around them happy too.

I know very few in this world who i truly believe are worthy of being special to me. These are individuals who are so disgusted by injustice and evil, that they feel like most people they interact with are still living in the dark ages. They realize that many people are barbaric, unrealiable and will betray even those closest to them for wealth and power. These unevolved people may not be the grand majority, but they are the ones running the show in most sections of society, and prbably just as many as those with potential to be better. Because i truly believe some people are just too involved in their amoral beliefs, that it would take too much effort and raw honesty to help them change.

I have a more forgiving nature towards people of an older generation like my great grandparents or my parents.But only if their shortcomigs do not involve moral distortion. I only feel more understanding toward their fear of god because of heavier and less informed indoctrination. But anyone born around 1980, has no excuse to be close minded, with so much information available that helps us grow a lot more than other generations ever had the priviledge to. Unless of course your parents raised you so badly, that they instilled nothing but fear and insecurity into your brain your entire life, and in this case i truly feel sorry for you, because you are a victim of what can only be called a crime. And horrible parenting should be somehow punished, not just frowned upon.

If you have friends or family who you know are still too immature about many essential things, it is your duty as a true friend to advice them politely, and also have the maturity to accept their criticism about your flaws too. You cant ever tell people that they are flawed as if you are not also flawed, because this would be self righteous. If you truly open your mind, you learn to communicate the wisdom you obtain in life, and you do this by showing them that there is another way to view life that will make them much happier than they currently are. We all need to learn that, and it usually happens after we suffer certain things in life.

For many people this never happens, because they are so self centered, that they never evolve to become better. They get submerged in the idea that no one understands them, and this is when a person loses themselves into a state of mental stagnation, but ironically, they feel like they are evolving into better and more conscious people. I know this because i was in that state of mind once not long ago in my life. Wearing blindfolds of prejudice that i wasnt ready to let go of, I feared parting ways with them, for no logical reason at all.

The day you stop feeling like no one understands you, is the day you are truly born to a much clearer state of mind. Because if people dont understand you, it's usually due to your inability to make sense, and because your life contradicts most of your verbal values. Which means that it's not su much that people dont understand you, it actually means that they dont take you seriously or respect you.

To finish this thoughts, I will be the first to confess that I still have a long way to go before I become an outstanding human being. But others have done it, and their road started when they accepted all these things and made a conscious effort to break down their mental blocks and start evolving.
